Getting Started

Dr. Dardashti believes that there are multiple factors that affect one’s mental and physical health. By not acknowledging the whole person, she believes we are doing a disservice to ourselves and the potential quality of life that is in our grasp. When an individual begins treatment with Dr. Dardashti, they receive a comprehensive assessment of mind, body and spiritual dynamics, all of which contribute to ultimate health and wellness. An assessment may include the following based on individual concerns:
- Psychological, physical, emotional, biological, and/or spiritual factors affecting one’s present life
- A clear understanding of individual goals for treatment
- Vitamin and mineral testing to determine any possible deficiencies
- Neurotransmitter imbalance assessment
- Heavy Metal testing
- Ayurvedic pulse analysis
- Food allergy testing
Treatment consists of psychotherapy, coaching, holistic interventions, or all three, depending on presenting difficulties and individual goals.
Payment & Insurance
Payment is due in full at the time of session in the form of cash or check. Patients can also pre-pay for sessions by credit card. Dr. Dardashti is out-of-network with insurance. Her fees are competitive with other Manhattan psychologists. In some instances, Dr. Dardashti can offer a sliding scale or help the patient find an in-network provider.
After formulating a diagnosis, she can provide a billing statement/receipt for patients to submit to insurance for out-of-network reimbursement. After the deductible has been met, most insurance plans reimburse 70%-80% of the allowable amount for out-of-network mental health benefits. CPT codes to inquire about are: 90801, 90804, 90806, 90846, 90847, and 90853.
